Our Ethical Principles

Our Code of Ethics underpins everything we do as a business. We promote the values of business as a force for good, demonstrate our responsibility to people and planet, and create shared value with all our stakeholders. We welcome feedback on our work and commit to learn from this.

Our business approach

We are committed to maintaining excellent practice in coaching, training and consultancy. We focus upon high quality executive coaching and bespoke development and training interventions, paying particular attention to how out input can strategically interconnect with your business needs.  We actively seek out the points of leadership synergy between your staff's values, talents and how they align to key business needs.  We only work with you if we believe we can transform your personal and professional impact adding value to your business.

Professional competence

Seren Leadership has been built almost entirely on referrals and repeat business.  To achieve this the service provided is always of the very highest quality drawing upon cross sector business experience, psychology of change insights and rigorous academic thinking on leadership. 

Ethics, confidentiality and discretion

You can be assured that sensitive information concerning your business and employees will remain confidential, both internally and externally. We have a comprehension Privacy Policy, and strict Terms & Conditions around confidentiality.

We follow a strong Ethical Code to maintain our personal integrity and professionalism.  We adhere to a number of internationally recognised Institutional ethical codes of practice.

When professionally working with clients in any capacity our employees and associates will conduct themselves in accordance with these codes, committed to delivering the level of service that may reasonably be expected of a professional.

Contracting

Before starting to work with a client, Seren Leadership will explain and strive to ensure that the client/sponsor know, and fully understand, the nature and terms and conditions of any coaching, training, development or consultancy, including financial, logistical and confidentiality arrangements.  

Seren Leadership will use our professional knowledge and experience to understand their clients’/sponsors’ expectations and reach agreement on how we plan to meet them.  We will also try to take into account the needs and expectations of other relevant parties.

Seren Leadership will be open about the methods we use, and on request we can supply the client/sponsor with information about the processes involved.

Integrity

All representatives of Seren Leadership will accurately and honestly represent their relevant professional qualifications, professional body to which they belong, experience, training, certifications and accreditations to clients, sponsors and colleagues.   

We will ensure that we are conscious of our boundaries.  If we believe that the project is creeping outside our normal scope of work or competence, we will alert the client/sponsor and find a solution as to how we intend to manage this going forward.

We will make an open declaration of any conflict of interest as soon as this becomes apparent and work with the Client to ensure that this is resolved.

Seren Leadership will act within applicable law and not in any way encourage, assist or collude with conduct which is dishonest, unlawful, unprofessional or discriminatory.

Confidentiality

When working with clients, we maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with all client and sponsor information unless release of information is required by law.

We will always have a clear agreement with you about the conditions under which confidentiality will not be maintained (e.g. illegal activity, danger to self or others) and gain agreement to that limit of confidentiality where possible unless the release of information is required by law.

Under no circumstances will Client information be sold or transferred to others without the written consent of the Client.

Flexibility

Seren Leadership consultants will integrate with your in-house staff to provide a seamless service.  Whether we work on specific aspects or manage the whole programme, you can be confident that you will get what you need.

Reliability

You can be assured that we deliver to our promises.  We will keep you informed of progress and do our best to respond promptly to your queries or priority issues.  Finally, and most importantly, we offer excellent value for money, but never at the expense of quality.

Our responsibility to our planet

We will at all times seek to minimise the environmental impact of our activities, always complying with all environmental protection legislation and seeking to minimise waste.

- We will reserve the right to not work with any organisation or individual who does not meet our ethical standards.

- We will protect the integrity and privacy of those we work with.

Our behaviour towards suppliers and consultants

- We will expect those working on our behalf to align with our ethics and promote our values through their work with us.

- We will not accept favours or bribes or allow personal affiliations to influence the award of contracts.

- We will be fair and reasonable in our financial practices towards others.

Our Promise

Our work is based on a relationship of trust and confidence and as such we will not make any claims or statements that we believe to be untrue or unachievable. We will ensure that the client/sponsor understands clearly what we have agreed, on what terms and what the likely output will be.
